Could Green Energy Be A Trick By Big Oil To Elevate Prices?

Before I get a ton of hate mail from the alternative energy crowd, just hear me out on this one. Have you noticed that almost all the alternative energy commercials are advertised and paid for by big oil companies? Right away this seems counterintuitive doesn’t it? This is like the drug cartels paying for and promoting anti-drug ads. Why would a company want to destroy demand for their product?

Allow me to show you why I believe the green energy frenzy has done nothing but result in one thing, higher oil prices. With advances in technology, the ability to find massive reserves of oil has gotten much better. We have 100 years worth sitting in oil sands right here in North America. An underground ocean of oil was just announced a few months ago off the coast of Brazil. With technology rapidly increasing our ability to peer into the earth below us, this stuff seems to be more abundant than once thought.

What about all that CO2 destroying the earth you ask? During the Carboniferous Period, about 300 million years ago, there was 20 times more CO2 in the atmosphere than there is today. Yes that right, 20 times as much. The earth didn’t die off or suffer at all. In fact, vegetation grew super huge because plants feed off of CO2. It would appear the extra CO2 is not going to kill us after all. Although, it is true sea levels may rise, I think we can manage to move our cities back a bit over the next 100 years, it may even make some jobs.

This is how I see it. Big oil knows that over the next 100 years, scientists would naturally discover a new form of clean alternative energy anyway. This will probably be the perfection of fusion, but who knows. Using ice core samples, they do know that the earth heats up and cools down periodically in cycles. If you live in New England, there used to be a 2 mile high glacier on top of where you are sitting. The earth naturally warmed up and it melted. Notice, it was not cavemen burning fossil fuels that did this, just the earth in a natural cycle.

Big oil realized their days are numbered by technology and the price of their product would go down as we are able to find more and more of it using discovery technology. Therefore, they cooked up this, “get off oil craze,” to actually bump oil way up for the time being. If you actually look at the numbers it makes perfect sense.

There were less than 200 Chevy Volts sold in the whole United States since it came out. To charge a Nissan Leaf, you have to use power from a coal fired power station. The push for bio-fuel doubled the price of corn and now has starved many people in third world countries. Yes the hippies in their fervor starved more people with their crappy ethanol, which is hell on car engines, by doubling the price of food.

Where are all the green jobs? They don’t exist in any great number. You would need a wind farm the size of Delaware to equal the power output of one natural gas power plant. The truth is nothing has been invented yet to replace fossil fuels. The oil companies are using this movement as a scam, and now I am paying $4.00 for gas because everyone has bought into it.
