Obama-Care Made Me Show My Birth Certificate, Now Show Me Yours

Yes, I am a member of one of those hated “unions.” Actually I believe we were Obama’s biggest national donor. Everyone at my work was recently surprised when we received a letter from our insurer asking for a copy of our birth certificate. My secretary had to go pay for a new one because she is older and the insurer said they wanted a newer style certificate and not the older and easier to forge style she has. Another girl at my work is from a foreign country and need to have hers translated.

Apparently this is a measure to keep people from having their friends or family impersonate them and use their insurance cards for a doctor visit. Although annoying, I guess I can see the logic in it.

One of the girls at work raised a very ironic point. Why does the Obama health care law force us to show our birth certificates, but he won’t show his. If I need to prove who I am just to go for a check up, why doesn’t he need to prove who he is to be President? I don’t care if he supposedly has shown it or not. As of now, there is much confusion on the issue and one simple move could end the whole thing.
