Palin Is Gone, Trump is Hiding, Gingrich and Ron Paul Are In

Remember when I told you how Sarah Palin was a flack jacket for the Republican party, and that she was purposefully put out there to take left wing media heat. If your scratching your head right now, go back and read my article, “Sarah Palin: the flack jacket for the Republican party.”

Donald Trump managed to knock Palin out of the spot light. If you have noticed, she has been a media no show since he started attacking Obama on the birth certificate issue. Since then, the media has basically taken out Trump on a scandal involving real estate deception and he appears to be laying low.

Mike Huckabee just announced that he is not going to run. I think this is a wise move for Huckabee because he has his own television show now and I just don’t see him beating Obama. For the Huckabee fans, its not that I dislike him, I just think he can’t beat Obama.

Next, we have Newt Gingrich who has now announced that his is going to run. My analysis leads me to believe that this is also a strategy by Republicans that is more than it appears. Gingrich, whether you like him or not, is one of the most well read scholars of US history and a good debater. Gingrich can handle himself with anyone out there and will come across well spoken and convincing. I believe Gingrich knows that he is also a long shot candidate for beating Obama, but that is not his job.

Newt is one thing above all else, a very loyal Republican. He will be able to aid his party in two ways. First, he will be able to attack Obama with a more scholar like tone than Obama. Gingrich will be able to launch more in-depth attacks than Palin and this will help pull in more educated independents. Second, Gingrich knows that the left dominated media will come out swinging hard at him. He knows he is going to take a lot of heat for some of the scandals in his past, but I think he is well prepared for this. My guess is that Newt will bow out after some republican primary debates. As a ironic side note, although most of the campaigns I have worked on have been for Democrat candidates, Newt Gingrich was the first well known candidate I ever met. I will say he was very polite to me.

This brings us to the final candidate I will mention in this article, Ron Paul. I think Ron Paul could possibly be a bigger force than people are giving him credit for currently. Ron Paul really deserves his own article so I will post an article soon outlining why I think he is the potential sleeper candidate in the 2012 presidential race.
