President Obama, Quit Lying About Economic Issues, Or Get The Hell Out

To be clear, I do believe that we need to massively overhaul the depth and scope of education pertaining to all aspects computer technology, electronics, mathematics, physics, and biosciences. Failing to do this will put our youth at an extreme global disadvantage in the decades to come. However, making this a cornerstone of an economic recovery plan is nothing more than a flat out diversion and quite disingenuous to the American public.

To make my argument easy to understand in a real world model, let us take a closer look at one of our most common out of work American citizens, who we will call John. John is a skilled machinist and has worked in the manufacturing sector for most of his life. He is 45 years old and has two children that will be graduating high school within the next three years.

John’s last three jobs ended in a similar manner. John’s previous employers decided to relocate their manufacturing facilities overseas. Adding insult, two of the employers offered him an addition two weeks pay to help crate up the equipment to ship to its new Chinese home.

Now John and millions like him are confronted with the reality that they are living in an America in which their acquired skills are no longer profitable. The massive loopholes, tax breaks, and Wall Street and corporate greed have made it impossible for John to earn a competitive wage. In fact, his Chinese counterparts are doing his job for less than he would make working at a fast food chain here in the US.

President Obama suggests that John go back to school and advance his education. “Why do I need to advance anything?” John says. “I am a very skilled worker and have 20 years of experience making intricate mechanical parts; you can’t learn this stuff in just 4 years.”

John further notes, “It’s been over 25 years since I was in school, I do not remember much of the material I was taught and it will take me two years before I would even be ready to take college courses. I have two kids that are getting ready to go to college, a mortgage, and a car payment. I need a job comparable to what I had and six years from now won’t cut it. Besides who will want to hire a 50 year old with a bachelors degree and no experience?”

You see folks, Obama and about every other politician is not addressing this problem. Of course, most of them do not want to talk about how they prostituted the jobs away to China. That’s right, most of the politicians that served in Washington over the past twenty years pimped our jobs away overseas.

The fact is, many people who have lost their jobs are not in a position to go back to school for a minimum of 4 years. They have children, mortgages, and the various other bills that come with age and a family. Most of these folks have been out of school for so long that they have long forgotten algebra and trigonometry. Who will pay their mortgage when they are back in school? Can they live in freshman housing with their kids?

Sorry Mr. President, but if you really want to fix our economy, why do you refuse to discuss how Washington has sold out America’s workers? Your money printing is like trying to fill a swimming pool with a hole in the side and you know it. Stop lying or get the hell out of office.

well why I do agree with what youre saying this problem is really Bigger than a Obama or Dem. or Rep. thing until they all join hands and jump off the cliff together it will be the status quoe. The people who currantly are trying to get elected prez all are all doubleing down with more of the same B.S. Change that has come to the USA over the past requires protests from the people of this fine country. It will have to get much worse than it is now.

Yep, and Obama never talks about China, if he does not address it, nothing will really improve.
